My “Globetrotting” photo exhibition in downtown Annapolis has just closed, and my latest — “Fire and Rain” at the Chesapeake Arts Center a little outside of Baltimore, has just opened. The title of the show, with apologies to James Taylor (who is still touring at the age of 75, BTW) is a doubly-themed exhibit of 19 photos. Seven of them (plus this video) are storm-themed, all taken during a 2021 storm-chasing trip to Texas and the midwest; the remaining 12 are all volcano photos, mostly of Kilauea Volcano in Hawaii.
It’s a very nice gallery space with good lighting and visibility. Here’s the scene:
I was very pleased with the display, and flattered by the opening reception two evenings ago, attended by about 35 people. And now the photos themselves:
“RAIN”
“FIRE” (The first 9 images are Kilauea; the last 3 are from Iceland and Mt. Saint Helens.)
…and that’s what’s been keeping me busy for the past month or two.
